Frequently asked questions
My name has changed. What should I do?
If you have changed the name on your other identification documents, it is recommended that you apply for a new passport in the same name, even if your current passport is still valid. Otherwise, you may encounter problems and delays at border crossings.
All travel arrangements should be made in the name on your passport. If you intend to travel with a passport not issued in the same name as your other documentation, you should consult the authorities of the countries you plan to visit, to verify if any additional documentation will be required.
Please note that in order to change the name on your passport, you must apply for a new passport and pay the applicable fees.
